Mathew Hasker

I have had a unique career journey which started in various sales and marketing roles within the retail sector. With a passion for technology and creativity, I moved into the Information Technology sector in 2008 where I was soon involved in a range of Web Design and Development projects as well providing 1st and 2nd line technical support.
In 2020, I started to work with clients to improve their online presence. I created written and video content, managed websites, SERP and SEO, and soon got involved with paid ads and social media marketing. I've also had the fantastic opportunity to build cloud based automation systems that helped departments complete projects more efficiently.
2024 saw a rapid change in business focus towards AI, specifically Generative AI. The potential impact on this technology is huge, especially in the creative industry, After my involvement with developing an AI strategy for a 500+ company, it was clear to me that companies are now looking for clarity in their technology and the elimination of menial tasks.
However, AI should not replace people. It should enable them. While I am an AI enthusiast, I'm also a human protectionist. The challenge now is, how do we adopt AI to assist humans, rather than replace them. That will always be my focus in my work.
